Autumn is shaping up to be a fun one across the North-East, with plenty of events and openings to keep you entertained as the nights draw in.
If you’re in the mood for something spooky, head to the Tyneside Cinema’s Halloween All-Nighter on October 25th.
Kick off November with a bang at the Newcastle Racecourse’s “Fireworks & Funfair Race night” on November 1st or if you’re south of the river, head down to Durham Cricket for the Festival of Fireworks, also on November 1st .
There’s also lots happening on the venue scene! The city’s first 5-star hotel, Hotel Gotham Newcastle, opens in November, and the social darts and cocktails venue Flight Club Newcastle is also set to launch in November — perfect for a night out or team outing.
As we move towards Christmas, the region really comes to life. The Newcastle Christmas Market is set to open on November 15th. Head over to Sunderland on November 13th, with market stalls at The Beam and City Hall before enjoying the Christmas lights switch-on at Keel Square.
For immersive light art, don’t miss the Lumiere Durham event 13th-15th November.
Finally, the Durham Christmas Festival runs from December 5th-7th with markets, carolling and a lantern parade on the Sunday.
Whether you’re planning an autumn team outing or just looking for inspiration, there’s plenty happening across the North-East to make the most of the season!
